State of iPhone Unlock On iOS 6 – A Complete Guide

Soon after the launch of iPhone 5 and iOS 6 almost a month ago, my inbox was flooded with queries related to iPhone 5 unlocking. Like any other major iOS update, iOS 6 also came baseband update for all iOS devices. All those questions were not just limited to iPhone 5 but there were people who updated their older iOS devices including iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS to iOS 6 and lost their unlocks.

Now let’s jump to the most frequently asked question:

Can I unlock iPhone on iOS 6?

Well, the answer is different for all iPhones because every iPhone — be it iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 3GS or even iPhone have different unlocking techniques. So instead of wrapping it up in just one paragraph I will answer them separately.

iPhone 4 Unlock on iOS 6:

I know most of people are looking for an answer to this question. There’s no significant development in unlocking world when it comes to iPhone 4. More than 90% iPhone 4 unlockers were stuck on infamous baseband 4.11.08 and 4.12.01 but didn’t get any solution to this problem. BUT from time to time we have posted some solutions which included a very clever way of Factory Unlocking your iPhone 4 for free by exploiting a vulnerability in Apple’s activation servers but that didn’t long last because Apple patched it in a matter days after it went viral in unlocking community. So, if you’re using an iPhone 4 and you’re stuck on iOS 6 I would suggest that you get your iPhone 4 factory unlocked directly from your carrier.

iPhone 4S Unlock on iOS 6:

There’s no software unlock available for iPhone 4S on any iOS version as yet but there are hardware unlocking solutions like R-SIM, Gevey Ultra S and other interposer SIMs which can unlock your iPhone 4S on all iOS versions EXCEPT iOS 6. Hardware unlock developers are working on bringing iPhone 4S unlock for iOS 6 but there’s no news from the development team as yet. So, if you’re an iPhone 4S user and you have updated your device to iOS 6 then you can either get your iPhone 4S factory unlocked from your carrier or wait for the development team to come up with Gevey SIM Unlock for iPhone 4S running  iOS 6.

iPhone 5 iOS 6 Unlock:

In our previous take on iPhone 5 unlocking we mentioned that there’s no unlocking solution available for iPhone 5 but things are a little different now. If you have an AT&T locked iPhone 5 you can get it unlocked from authentic unlock resellers. Yes, you can unlock iPhone 5 on iOS 6 permanently. So far, factory unlock is the only iPhone 5 unlocking solution available for iPhone 5. But it is important to note here that this unlocking solution is available for iPhone 5s which are locked to AT&T only.

If your iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S is locked to AT&T then there are plenty of great services out there which can unlock your iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S on iOS 6. UnlockMyATTiPhone is one service we strongly recommend because I’ve personally used it to unlock my devices.

Folks over UnlockMyATTiPhone were also kind enough to give How To Arena 5 FREE iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S unlocks. So, in order to participate in this unlock giveaway competition you have to share this post and tag How To Arena’s Facebook page.

We will keep you updated about everything related to iPhone unlocking.

Auguste Rodin sculpture the thinker is Today’s Google Doodle

Today Auguste Rodin would have celebrated his 172th Birthday. If you are wondering who Auguste Rodin were you are not alone, when I opened the Google homepage this morning I had no idea who the guy is sitting on a stone or tree in the doodle.

t were only once I hovered over the Doodle that I saw that it is about Auguste Rodin, which still did not really give me a clue who this man sitting on the stone were, or why it is important that Google celebrates his birthday. However this is one of the things I love most when Google have a doodle about someone we should know about but many times don’t.

“Auguste Rodin” was a French Sculptor born on the 12th of November 1840 and passed away on the 17th of November 1917. Many people in the art industry consider him the progenitor of modern sculpture, although he did not set out to rebel against the past.

He wanted to study arts at what many consider to be the best school of arts in Paris, however he was never allowed to study at the school.  In his time he did however become one of the most well known sculptors in France and in the 1900 world renowned for his work.

Auguste Rodin Sculptures

In his time Auguste Rodin created several sculptures, in the Google Doodle of 12 November 2012 Google featured one of his works in the doodle. The man sitting on the stone is a sculpture that he created called “The Thinker”

The Thinker is a bronze and marble sculpture by Auguste Rodin, whose first cast, of 1902, is now in the Musée Rodin in Paris; there are some 20 other original castings, as well as various other versions, studies, and posthumous castings.

It depicts a man in sober meditation battling with a powerful internal struggle. It is often used to represent philosophy. – Source by Wikipedia Auguste Rodin.

Instead of copying traditional academic postures, Auguste Rodin preferred his models to move naturally around his studio (despite their nakedness). The sculptor often made quick sketches in clay that were later fine-tuned, cast in plaster, and forged into bronze or carved in marble.

Auguste Rodin Sculptures in America

At fist Auguste Rodin struggled to find an audience for his work in USA, one of the reasons being that his art were very provocative and featured nakedness. Fortunately, he came to know Sarah Tyson Hallowell (1846–1924), a curator from Chicago who visited Paris to arrange exhibitions at the large Interstate Expositions of the 1870s and 1880s, she helped to create a market for Auguste Rodin’s work in the USA where he eventually became just as popular.

Facebook Testing New Timeline Format With Single Column of Posts

The upcoming news is that Facebook is testing New Timeline Format With Single Column of Posts .Facebook modified the game for promoters (and annoyed several users) when it modified to the schedule structure. Now it looks like the online community might modify schedule a bit, making it more of a single-column structure. Sis website Within Facebook verified with Facebook that the website is examining a new, streamlined design of schedule for a choose few customers. As Within Facebook notices, this change details one of users’ primary criticisms of schedule by having all content in one pillar.     In this test, all walls content appear on the left part, while start information activities such as music heard on Spotify and latest action will be trapped on the right side part. Everything else — an eye, user profile image, cover image and schedules along the right side part — seem to stay the same. Here’s the new structure that Facebook is testing: When a user has no more start information activities to show, the right part of the page will return to empty, instead of creating two factors of walls posts. Please send your feedback if you like this blog.

Here’s How to Get the New Gmail

Google may not be rolling out its new compose and reply format for Gmail to everyone yet, but there’s still a way to take it for a spin.

The company announced on Tuesday that it is testing a new email layout to make it easier to reference other emails without having to close a draft. Similar to a pop-up chat screen, an email draft rests on top of the main inbox without overtaking the entire screen.

Although the feature isn't completely launched, it’s possible to switch to the new format at any time — and of course, switch back if you don’t like it.

Want to give it a try? Here’s how:

Once you open a new email draft via the Compose button, a “new compose experience” link will appear at the top of the email template (see above for image). A prompt then pops up which highlights how to add CC and BCC recipients — now on the right side of the email draft — add attachments (bottom of the draft) and delete the message (bottom right).

After making the switch, you’ll immediately notice how Google is trying to make it easier for Gmail users to manage email and multi-task. The new functionality allows users to search and monitor new mail as it rolls in, while writing emails at the same time. It’s also possible to write a few at a time and minimize some in the process.

To adjust font size, style and bullets, click on the “text formatting” icon, which resembles an underlined “A.” Meanwhile, users can hover over the plus (“+”) icon to reveal more actions, such as inserting pictures and links into a draft. If you want to see the previous message within your reply, scroll down until you see the “Show trimmed content” icon and click it to reveal the full exchange.

Another update you’ll notice is profile pictures are now included in contacts, so you can find who you want to reach faster.

The company said it is working on adding new features to compose draft template, such as inserting emoticons, event invitations and a “print draft” option, as well as the ability to add labels to outgoing messages and sending read receipts and canned responses.

It’s possible to still adjust the window size if you want it bigger by clicking the middle icon at the top right of the pane.

Have you turned on the new features? Tell us what you think of them in the comments.
