Skype updates now available through Windows Update

This not the latest news that Skype has been bought by Microsoft from $8.5 billion since then Microsoft has been working to improve it.

Now Microsoft is trying to assimilate it video chat software into a number of its products such as Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8.More and more products has been exposed after the partnership between Skype and Microsoft, with up-dates for Skype now available for obtain through Windows Update.

 

KB2727727 details Skype 5.10 for Windows Update, apparently launched on Aug 14th and launched as an update on Aug 23rd. According to Microsoft, the update contains new alternatives to voice/video call Facebook friends, a new contact list that makes finding Facebook friends more easy, and the capability to tag friends as preferred.

Skype now connects a very unique set of programs that update through Windows Update, with basically all other items being core Windows functions and Microsoft products like Microsoft Security Requirements. We can't delay to see more of what both categories have up their sleeves for the Microsoft-Skype collaboration.
